Privacy Policy for OptiRouteAI

Effective 2026-08-18

The short version

OptiRouteAI does most of its work on your device. We do not run a server that stores your routes, your stops, or the addresses you enter. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

What we collect, and where it stays

WhatWhyWhere it is kept
Addresses and place names you enter as stops To place them on the map and order them into a route On your device only
Approximate or precise device location To plan a route from where you are. Optional; the app works without it On your device. We never receive it. Two things go to Apple on iPhone, and neither comes to us: when you search an address, the map area around you is sent to Apple Maps as part of that search, so the results are near you; and if you choose "use my current location", that position is sent to Apple to look up its street address.
A random per-install identifier So your purchases stay attached to this installation On your device and with RevenueCat, and - only if you send us feedback - on our own server for 90 days, so we can tell repeat reports apart.
Saved routes and app settings So your work persists between sessions On your device
Feedback you choose to send, including your message, an optional contact email, the per-install identifier, and a diagnostic summary (app version, platform, operating system, language, time zone, your plan, and how many stops and saved routes you have) To reproduce the problem you are reporting and reply to you On our own server, and in our support mailbox if your device sends it by email instead - only when you choose to send it. Kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically. If your report becomes a tracked issue we keep only the technical details - app version, platform, what went wrong - with your message and contact details removed.

Device permissions

  • Location. Optional. Used to start a route from your current position, centre the map on you, and find addresses near you.

Services we rely on

OptiRouteAI sends limited information to the companies below so it can do its job. Each has its own privacy policy governing what it does with that data.

ServiceWhat it doesWhat it receivesPolicy
RevenueCat Processes and validates subscription and add-on purchases Your per-install identifier and purchase receipts Policy
Apple iOS only Takes payment for in-app purchases, resolves the addresses you type on iOS, turns your current position into a street address when you ask it to, and receives your stops if you hand the route to Apple Maps Payment details (handled entirely by Apple), the addresses you type on iOS together with the map area around you so results are nearby, your device position if you choose "use my current location" so Apple can return its street address, and - only if you choose Apple Maps from Navigate - the stops you are routing to Policy
OpenFreeMap Serves the map you see under your route Your IP address and which part of the map you are viewing. OpenFreeMap states it does not log IP addresses. Map data comes from OpenStreetMap and the map's design from OpenMapTiles, both credited on the map itself. Policy
Cloudflare Delivers the map tiles that draw the map under your route Your IP address and the fact that you requested map tiles, as the network that serves them. It sits in front of the OpenFreeMap tile service, so every map view reaches it. We named it separately because naming only OpenFreeMap would have left the company that actually sees your IP address unlisted. Policy
Komoot (Photon) Web and Android only Turns a typed address into map coordinates The address text you type, and the centre of the map area you are looking at, so nearby results rank first Policy
Google Maps Navigates the route you planned, if you choose it The stops on your route, in order, at the moment you hand off Policy
Waze Navigates to your next stop, if you choose it The single stop you are navigating to Policy
IvoForge Hosts our website, the server that receives your feedback, and our support mailbox Feedback you choose to send, including anything you paste into it, for as long as it is stored

Komoot (Photon). On iOS this does not happen. Address search there goes to Apple Maps instead, and the app does not fall back to this service on iOS even when Apple finds nothing, so what you type is never sent here from an iPhone.

Google Maps. Only when you tap Navigate and choose this app. Your stops are handed over at that moment so it can route you; nothing is sent otherwise, and the app is never contacted in the background.

Waze. Only when you tap Navigate and choose this app. Your stops are handed over at that moment so it can route you; nothing is sent otherwise, and the app is never contacted in the background.

IvoForge. Applies only to feedback you send us - nothing else about your routes reaches them. Feedback is deleted after 90 days. IvoForge is the provider we contract with; it delivers the service through its own suppliers, currently KnownHost and PrivateSystems Networks. IvoForge does not publish a privacy policy at a public URL, so this row links none rather than linking one that does not resolve; ask us and we will provide the current terms we hold.

What you send us

Feedback is free text, so please avoid including other people's personal details unless they are genuinely needed to explain the problem. If you paste a list of addresses to illustrate an issue, that information reaches our support mailbox. Email privacy@gavorix.com if you would like a message deleted.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your data
  • We do not use advertising or cross-app tracking
  • We do not have a server that stores your routes or addresses

Specific to OptiRouteAI

What the App Store privacy label declares, and why

Apple asks every app to declare what it collects and to say whether each item is linked to your identity. Our declaration lists seven kinds of data. Six are marked linked to you and one is not.

The six linked are: your email address, if you choose to give one when you send feedback; the message itself, which Apple files under customer support; the diagnostic summary that travels with it; the per-install identifier; your purchase history; and how you interact with the subscription screen. They are marked linked for one reason, and it is worth stating plainly: when you send feedback, your message, your optional email and the per-install identifier arrive together in one record, so from that moment they are joined to each other. That record is deleted after 90 days.

The one not linked is precise location. It is used on your device and sent to Apple to look up a street address. It never reaches us.

If you never send feedback and never buy anything, the only item that exists is the per-install identifier, held on your device and with RevenueCat.

Asking us to delete what we hold

Wherever you live, you can ask us to confirm what we hold about you and to delete it. Write to privacy@gavorix.com with "data request" in the subject. That mailbox is the single route for every request of this kind, whichever law gives you the right.

Because almost everything stays on your device, the fastest route for most of it does not involve us at all: the Delete All App Data control in Settings, or uninstalling the app, removes the on-device copy immediately.

What we can delete for you is the feedback record: your message, your optional contact email, the diagnostic summary, and the per-install identifier attached to them. Tell us roughly when you wrote and we will find it. If you never sent feedback, we hold nothing to delete.

Purchases are held by RevenueCat and by Apple. We can ask RevenueCat to delete the record attached to your per-install identifier. Apple's own record of your purchase is governed by Apple's policy and by the rules that require a seller to keep transaction records.

Switzerland and Brazil

If you are in Switzerland, the Federal Act on Data Protection gives you rights of access, correction and deletion. If you are in Brazil, the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados gives you similar rights and provides for a named person responsible for data protection questions, whom the law calls the encarregado.

For both, the address above is the channel: privacy@gavorix.com. It reaches the person responsible at TSGI Services LLC.

How long data is kept

Data held on your device stays until you delete it, either with the app's Delete All App Data control in Settings or by uninstalling. Records held by the services listed above are governed by their own retention policies, linked in the table.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, obtain a copy in a portable form, or object to certain processing. Because most data stays on your device, you can exercise many of these directly with the app's Delete All App Data control in Settings, or by uninstalling.

For anything held by us or by a service acting on our behalf, contact privacy@gavorix.com and we will respond within the period required by applicable law.

Children

OptiRouteAI is a tool for work and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

International transfers

The services listed above operate internationally, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, transfers rely on the safeguards those providers put in place.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top and, where the change is significant, tell you in the app before it takes effect.
